Pataias is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Alcobaça, located in the central region of Portugal. It belongs to the historical province of Estremadura and the district of Leiria.
The town of Pataias is located on the Silver Coast, about 10 km south of Alcobaça and about 18 km north of Leiria. It is known for its beach, Praia de Pataias, which has a long stretch of sand and good conditions for practicing sea sports such as surfing and bodyboarding. The beach is part of the São Pedro de Moel Dunes Nature Reserve, a protected area of great scenic and ecological value.

The parish of Pataias has around 5,000 inhabitants and is divided into four main towns: Pataias, Póvoa, Várzea de Pataias and Ribeira do Pereiro.
